These are full-time, dynamic and high-touch roles that bridge client experience and passion for product/design/making.

DESIGN & PRODUCTION DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE
 

Role Description

  • Production orders - prep 2D/3D files for cnc/printed parts

  • Shop drawings, revise 3D models, produce models from maquettes

  • Purchase parts/materials: lighting/hardware/outsourced moulds

  • Communicate with vendors regarding pricing and RDDs

  • Ability to interface with clients as needed

  • Willingness to engage in some hands-on work and facilitation in the workshop

  • Manage 3D printers

  • Manage plotter, make 2D templates

  • Manage out-sourced waterjet for welding templates, registers, parts

 

Traits

  • Interest in learning Fine Art and Design Production with specialization in Bronze, Cast Glass, Sculpture and Lighting at highest levels of craftsmanship.

  • Ability to work confidently and efficiently with crew members at all levels with positive, energetic, humble attitude, relationship building

  • Organization: Detail-oriented, versatile and self-driven with the ability to multi-task and take ownership of projects

  • Creative problem solver: Instincts to identify production challenges and respect that all aspects of casting (and therefore quality and cost) are driven by the files made in this role

PATINA ARTISAN / FINISHING SPECIALIST
 

Role Description

  • Patineur and Finishing Specialist at highest level Metal Fabrication and Foundry workshop

  • Coordinate with Production Leads to meet recurring and evolving deadlines

  • Maintain an organized work station, materials, tools and spray booth

  • Maintain chemical/solvent inventory to OSHA standards

  • Maintain consistency within applied finishes

  • Work alongside Development Team to expand patina library and offerings

 

Traits

  • Team-focused and client-focused attitude

  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced environment and shifting priorities

  • Willingness to work overtime as needed during ebbs and flows of production or special commissions

 

Skills

  • Ideal candidate should possess at least two years of experience with traditional patination methods for bronze and aluminum

  • Knowledge of coating industry

  • Fine finishing and surfacing ability, eye for quality

  • Ability to lift 70 lbs.

  • Sample portfolio HIGHLY recommended.
